Ruzivo Chigwedere is a Founder and Managing Partner of Centaur & Partners. She has +15yrs experience in business advisory; and has also served in executive roles at high-profile institutions including Turner & Townsend, Gauteng Provincial Government and Breakthrough Management Group International (BMGI). Her experience in both public and private sector settings brings a unique and valuable expertise to Centaur & Partners.

Her work has been centred around supporting corporates, governments, sub-sovereign entities, NGO’s and DFIs to formulate, translate and execute strategy for sustained performance and impact. The breath of engagements has ranged from leading the formulation of long-term strategies, to diagnosis of corporate challenges; design and implementation of reform strategies, organisational restructuring and turnaround solutions, and development of associated management systems and accountability frameworks to drive & measure performance.

She has led teams on projects relating to development of corporate governance frameworks; cost & margin optimisation; developing, optimising and accelerating mega-projects and/programmes; formulating structural economic reforms and policies to inter alia stimulate regional economic development, facilitate private sector investment, and create conditions for pro-poor, sustainable growth in emerging markets.

Ruzivo has coordinated fundraising efforts and led business development initiatives including brokering strategic partnerships with key industry players, financiers, academics, philanthropic foundations, government entities, multilateral institutions and civil society organisations – she has demonstrated ability to align multi-party priorities.

Last but not least, Ruzivo has jointly, with Africa’s top Business Schools, designed programmes to improve institutional management capacity. She has taught on executive programmes offered by the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business, in addition to supervising post-graduate research projects with specific emphasis on Operations Management and Lean. Overall, she is an accomplished business coach who has worked with senior business executives, mid-level managers, young leaders and entrepreneurs.

Ruzivo is passionate about participating in transformative roles that directly improve economies and livelihoods across frontier and emerging markets. She possesses a solid understanding of the complexities of planning and delivering across the sub-region.
